Local Rules
| Out of Bounds |
|
All ground outside the club's boundary fences, the car parks, residence, roundabout and the roundabout rockery are Out of Bounds. |
| Staked or Guarded Trees, Shrubs and Plants |
|
If a staked or guarded tree, shrub or plant interferes with a players stance or intended swing, the ball must be lifted without penalty and dropped in accord with Rule 24-2-b. The ball may be cleaned when so lifted. Stakes and guards at trees, shrubs and plants as well as stakes defining hazards or GUR are deemed to be immovable obstructions. Rule 24-2 applies. |
| Fixed Sprinkler Heads / Taps / Drainage Grates |
| All these fixed items are immovable obstructions and relief from interference may be obtained under Rule 24-2. In addition if a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and such an obstruction on or within two club lengths of the putting green intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief without penalty in accord with the provisions of Specimen Local Rule 5. |
| Overhead Wires |
| If a ball strikes the overhead wires at the 17th hole, the player must replay the stroke in accord with Rule 20-5 without penalty. |
| Water Hazards |
| All defined water areas, dams and drains are LATERAL water hazards. Lateral water hazards are defined by red stakes or lines. |
| Ground Under Repair |
|
The following areas are defined as ground under repair: |
| Stones in Bunkers |
| Stones in bunkers are moveable obstructions. Rule 24-1 applies. |
| Wheel Marks |
| Except in a hazard, wheel marks made by a mower, tractor or motor vehicle are GUR. Rule 25 applies. |
